The *P* Twins {Newborn Photography}

I was so honored when I was asked to photograph the Patel Twins.  These precious little guys decided they wanted to come into the world just a little bit early (as most twins do), so I wasn't able to photograph them until they were about a month old.  Even though they were a little unsure of me at first, they quickly decided that a nap was in order and we were able to get to work.  They were just wonderful!  The session was made much easier by the many helping hands.  The whole family was in attendance for the shoot and it really was a special experience.

Just a little side note:  Most of these photos have little details chosen by their parents, or items that were given to them as gifts.  I always recommend that parents do this, especially for newborn shoots.  It is so fun  and meaningful to look back and see a little something special and personal in your photographs.

Thank you, Patel Family, for welcoming me into your home to photograph your handsome sons.  They are adorable and you are truly blessed!

C & C {Newborn and Childhood Photography}

I had the pleasure of photographing a newborn baby girl a couple of weeks ago.  Turns out, she was not a huge fan of the camera.  Do you blame her???  At just about 2 weeks old, she was probably wondering who that crazy woman holding it was too!  She did allow me to get some beautifully sweet shots, as well as some lovely Mommy / Daughter images.  And let me tell you...this Mommy is beautiful, and just as sweet.

Big sister also joined in on the fun.  She was quite the little model.  I mean, just look at the eyes and facial expressions.  My camera LOVED her!  There is nothing I enjoy more, as a photographer, than a little one that wants me to take their picture.  Those little fulfilling moments are so much fun, and so few and far between.

*H* Family...thank you so much for allowing me to visit with you.  I hope you enjoy the photos of both of your beautiful girls!

Nola's Baby Shower {Event Photography}

I was recently asked to photograph a baby shower for one very special couple and their soon-to-arrive little girl. Nola's sweet mommy has some wonderful best friends who flew in from California and Arkansas to host the shower, and hired me to capture all of the special moments of the day.  N & C put on such a beautiful event, full of personal touches and immaculate details.  It was such a lovely, emotional shower that was full of friends and family.  This is one very loved little girl!  To everyone involved...thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special day.  I hope you love the photos!

Melting {Childhood Photography}

Being the children of a photographer, my boys have a keen sense of my camera.  They instinctually know exactly when I reach for it and they react accordingly.  Usually, Hayden runs for the hills and Colton will give me some sort of Captain Jack-ish pirate smile (think one eye closed and a sideways grin).  I have to be incredibly selective on the times that I want to do a serious shoot with them.  I can't do it too often, or I wear out my welcome.  Somehow, by the grace of God, this week I was able to get several good shots of them.  One was sort of unplanned and the other was, but who cares!  I love having photos of my precious babies.  I want to remember them this way, because they will not stay here for long!  Seriously...are they not so handsome???  I think so at least!  They make my heart happier than they will ever know!

PROJECT 52 - Week #7 & #8 {Boys Will Be Boys}

I am a week behind, so I have a couple shots from today that I will post to catch myself up.  How precious are my sweet boys???  We went to Noah's Ark Animal Rehabilitation Center today to visit with some Lions and Tigers and Bears (oh my!).  Here are a couple of shots I got before we met up with our friends.

100 Layer Cake {Wedding Resources}

Todays' weddings are so stylized, leaving no detail left unaddressed.  Just looking at your girlfirend's wedding pics may give you a touch of early onset anxiety!  I'm already married, but I find myself thinking about orgaizing and creating all of those little details and...........
Yep, there it is.  The panicy, flustered feeling that is only fueled by websites like Pinterest and Photography blogs.  The sites often display these beautifully executed weddings, but rarely do they show the mere mortal how to pull off a super-human fete.  100 Layer Cake is a breath of fresh air!  There are a ton of DIY resources and ideas that can help you to pull it together, all while on a wallet friendly budget.  Brides, or future brides, you should certainly check it out!

While you're there, check out the Angel Kisses Photography vendor page (click HERE).  Leave a comment!  I would love to hear from you!!!
