Baby Shower Bliss {John's Creek Event Photography}

I had the pleasure of spending Saturday afternoon with Kirti and all of her girlfriends as they celebrated the pending arrival of Baby Ari.  This Mommy-To-Be has quite the support group around her, led by one fabulous sister!  It is no secret that I adore shoot baby showers and parties.  Somehow, I managed to find a career that allows me to spend time with people when they celebrate the happiest moments in life.  It is a blessing!  This shower was so full of love, laughs, tons of incredible details and sangria.  All of the perfect elements for any great party (as far as I'm concerned)!

*C* has a thing for superheroes...to put it mildly!  He loves them all and has a costume for each of his favorites.  By far, his favorite is Spiderman.  His Daddy and I took that theme and ran with it, to create one super fun, superhero birthday party!  Check out the photos from the event...Enjoy!

Nola's Baby Shower {Event Photography}

I was recently asked to photograph a baby shower for one very special couple and their soon-to-arrive little girl. Nola's sweet mommy has some wonderful best friends who flew in from California and Arkansas to host the shower, and hired me to capture all of the special moments of the day.  N & C put on such a beautiful event, full of personal touches and immaculate details.  It was such a lovely, emotional shower that was full of friends and family.  This is one very loved little girl!  To everyone involved...thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special day.  I hope you love the photos! 

{Honoring the Fallen}

September 11, 2011 was a very chaotic day in the Burtch Household. We were in the midst of moving and getting the boys settled in the new homestead in Atlanta. Knowing this was going to be the case, I took a few minutes and stopped by the new park in Wellington that is dedicated to the victims and heroes of that fateful day. The park is aptly named Patriot Memorial. I have seen in several other parks throughout Florida, where pieces of steel from The World Trade Towers are the centerpiece. I am not sure if this is going on everywhere, but what a fitting daily reminder of God's grace on our lives and this country. 9/11 was so very tragic, and I think many of us (myself included) had become very lethargic in our patriotism up to that day. We had taken our many blessings for granted. I know, in my heart and in my family, that day really put into perspective how lucky we all are and how heroic and steadfast our service men and women are. we can always count on them and they are always there protecting. WOW! I am in awe of their bravery and am so grateful for their service.

I have been delayed in getting this post up because of the move, but I really wanted to get it on the blog. First of all, to pay homage to so many that were lost, but also to remind myself how quickly life can just...go. Thinking of this reminded me of James 4:14 (NIV) "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." I have been so caught up in the move and getting the boys settled and getting my business established that I feel I have lost a little perspective. I thank My Heavenly Father for every day that I wake up and every day that I am free to work, play and worship in the way that I see fit. Isn't it bad that I need a reminder???? I'm working on it!

1 Week, 2 Shoots {Wellington Event & Family Photography}

I was so excited when I was asked to shoot another birthday party at A Latte Fun in Wellington. This place is crazy fun for kids and parents and they always do a fabulous job on the birthday parties they host. This one was no exception and the family I was hired to shoot for....um, AMAZING! They really were the sweetest people and an absolute joy to work with. Not only did I get to photograph this BIG guy's 3rd Birthday....


But his parents called and asked me to do a family session for them as well. I happily obliged. I mean...could you just die??? Morgan is one of those boys who is all boy, but sweet and shy at the same time. He reminds me a lot of my little Colt (who now seems to have found his voice in the world...uh oh!). I met the "G" family, at Okeheelee Park, by the lake. I was sure it was going to be a wash of an evening, because I could see the clouds and storms rolling in, reminiscent of "The Never Ending Story". Yeah, it looked that bad, which is not unusual this time of year in South Florida. And by that, I mean everyday at 6 PM on the dot! Everyone was ready to go though, and had on their best family portrait smile. We were able to knock this session out in a mere 30 minutes, with over 35 GREAT shots. Here are some of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Bridal Bash {Fort Lauderdale Event Photography}

My dear friend, Nicole, is getting married on July 1...cliffside...in Italy...on the Amalfi Coast. You can be jealous now! I know I am! I got to attend her bridal shower at Shooters in Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday and had a blast! Here are a few of the photos I wanted to share. Nicole, you can breath easy. I left out the pictures of the unmentionables you received! lol ;)

Another Favor By Yours Truly

Sweet Story: Nicole gave the picture on the left to her mother to show her what kind of veil she wanted to wear on her wedding day. Her mother took the photos and had the veil on the right made out of her wedding dress with real pearls and Swarovski crystals...Nicole's something "old". There is also a tiny blue bow sewn on the inside...so creative!

Nicole...I Love you, Girl! I hope you have a blast gallivanting around Europe prior to your big day. I was serious when I said I wanted to go in your suitcase. I think I can fit if I drop a few pounds!!

Seriously though, I hope you have the wedding of your dreams. We will be thinking about you guys and praying that your wedding day is everything that you've hoped for and deserve! XOXO

A Latte Fun Birthday {Wellington Children's Photography}

I had the honor of working with the crew at A Latte Fun in Wellington over the weekend for this little guys' 3rd birthday. This place is too cool....indoor playground for the kids, chic coffee shop for the adults...that's a WIN in my book. I have some photos to coming soon so that you can see what I'm carrying on about. I had a blast and the party was a huge success!

Baby Bliss {Jupiter Baby Shower Photography}

Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing a baby shower for Britni and Ralph at Carlin Park in Jupiter. It was probably the windiest day I have ever seen in South FL, but that didn't matter. There were over 40 family members and friends there to cheer on the parents-to-be. Let me tell you, this shower put most I have seen to shame. There was a chef there making omelets to order, an entire buffet, crazy cool party favors, awesome games and tons and tons of LOVE. Britni and Ralph are waiting to find out the gender of their baby...which is so admirable in my eyes. Kevin wanted to wait to find out with both of our boys, but I am TERRIBLE with surprises and just couldn't do it. The theme was turtles and frogs. Precious! See the incredible cake below made by the grandmother-to-be. Can you believe she does this as a hobby...UNREAL! I can only image the birthday cakes this little one will have in the years to come. Britni and Ralph are a beautiful, funny couple and I wish them all the happiness in the world. This is one lucky baby! Congrats, y'all...I hope you love your photos!
