Atlanta Wedding Photography - The Ward's

As a wedding gift to my Mother, I offered to photograph her special day. It was a beautiful evening full of laughter, friends, family and food (plus some really great cupcakes!). It was also full of nerves for me, as this was my first wedding experience from the photographer's perspective. It turned out great, though, and I was so pleased with the moments I was able to capture. Mom and Jimmy, thank you for trusting me with you wedding memories. Congrats and I hope you love your photos!

South Florida Girls Night Out Photography

These girlies are beautiful and were so excited to have their "GNO" photo shoot at the beach. It was a perfect night in Ocean Ridge, FL and these girls made me wish I had thought of doing this back in the day! Thanks for the opportunity, Girls...I had a blast!

South Florida Workshops - Digital Days Photography Workshop

I was able to attend the Digital Day Photography Workshop in Miami on May 15 & 16, presented by Sony and Popular Photography Magazine. It was awesome! This is the first time in a long time that I have been in a classroom setting and really interested in what was being discussed. I learned so much...mainly that I have a lot of practice to do. I can't wait to attend another one soon. If anyone knows of any good workshops in South Florida, let me know! Here are some shots from the day:

South Florida Newborn Photography - Sweet Baby "B"

I was honored when my neighbors asked me to photograph their newborn and newly adopted Baby "B". She is absolutely precious and was such a trooper during our shoot. You can tell that there is already such a special bond between mommy and baby and it a pleasure to be a small part of this special time in their lives. Congrats "B" Family on your new addition! P.S. I do plan on taking you up on your offer to barrow BOTH of your children as models in the future! :)

My favorite of the day...She really does look like a little Angel!

South Florida Children's Photography - My Boys

Here are some shots of my precious little boys, Hayden & Colton.

South Florida Family Photography - My Happy Place

Key Largo is one of my favorite places in the world and you will see it featured often in this blog. It is one place where I can go and honestly relax and feel like myself. I recently had the pleasure of taking my family for the first time. It was so exciting to share a little bit of my world with them. Here are a few shots of Key Largo and a few of my cousins, Morgan and Dylan who were Adel, GA and are too precious not to include!

The Beginning

Here goes nothing! I decided about a year ago that I wanted to be a professional photographer. Actually, it was more like a need! I have always been "artsy". I get that from my father, who is a brilliant artist (I really don't think he knows how good he is). I used to paint and sketch a good bit, but since having children, my creative focus has drifted towards photography. I found myself analyzing photos of my boys and really wanting them to be better. So for the past year, I have been on a mission to learn and practice as much as possible. Lucky for me, I have two of the most beautiful models on the planet. Needless to say, I have a photo from nearly every day of my boys lives. I know it drives them CRAZY, but it is special for me and I know one day they will appreciate it. My mother used to force my brother and I to sit through endless photo sessions at every holiday or vacation...It was pure torture at the time. But know, I have documented memories that I otherwise would not have.

I really wanted to put off setting up a blog or website until I was sure I would be a success, but things are moving a bit quicker than expected. I have been asked by many friends and family to do portraits or photograph special occasions over the past few months, with many more sessions already scheduled for the future. I get such joy and excitement from doing this and really don't look at it as a job. I really enjoy every aspect of it and get as much, if not more, out of it as the people I am photographing. This IS a very new adventure for me and I can assure you (my customers) that my desire to learn, and create, and get better will never go away. I am not accustomed to mediocracy, so you can be assured that you will always get my absolute best!
